Since Emily has taken the job, I have dealt with absolutely no issues with the program. Emily's communications to parents and students is unmatched! | 2008-2009 Athletic Director of the Year - Bob Dowding - Seattle Lutheran High School From letters of recommendation... "Mr. Dowding is a humble man who has committed his entire life to serving student athletes. In the halls of Seattle Lutheran, he is lovingly known as "PapD". He has been coaching, teaching, and mentoring student athletes for more than 30 years. ..... I took over a failing cheerleading program 2 1/2 years ago. At that time, the team consisted of only 6 cheerleaders with a reputation of being cute girls in skirts. In a Christian school where traditional sports take precedence, it is Mr. Dowding who championed the growth of our cheer program. Bob has found funding for me to purchase badly needed cheer mats and sent me to obtain all the required coaching courses. Bob has made room in his busy athletic schedule to allow the cheer to tumble once a week in the gym, as well as making the cheer a priority when scheduling room for practicing and use of school van. This is not an easy task with limited resources of a small school. Bob has strengthened our relationship with student athletes and their families..." |

| 2008-2009 All Star Coach of the Year - Tyler Janes - South Elite From letters of recommendation... "Tyler is an excellent choreographer. He is an incredibly talented - high level tumbling coach; he seems to always know what is needed to perfect a tumbling pass or how to motivate us to try new skills. He has capability of remembering every member of the team’s position at any point in our routines. Tyler is able to keep us in line, but at the same time knows how to have fun. He helps us all to remain positive; to believe in ourselves as individuals and as a team. He continues to help our teams to reach new levels of excellence in the cheer community." |
