2009-2010Assistant School Coach of the Year - Elana Towers - Union High School
From letters of recommendation... "After asking the cheerleaders to describe some of her characteristics, this is what they said. She is always encouraging, always positive, always smiling, always creative and approachable. She is demonstrating the important values and attributes of a valuable coach by her leadership. It is through her quiet and respectful ways that the cheerleaders, parents and coach have grown to love her... "

2009-2010 Coach of the Year Coach - Tara McVay - Tahoma High School
From letters of recommendation... "Tara creates the perfect atmosphere in the practice room; it's a great mix of hard work and dedication from all. She takes all of our opinions into consideration, and in turn we work hard to accomplish all of our goals as a team. This squad has brought new friendships and unforgettable times for all. Tara has an upbeat attitude and always keeps the team holding their heads high with not only school pride but self confidence. Finally, Tara also helps us outside of just athleticism. She instills the essentials that we will need for the rest of our lives. Tara has us cheerleaders doing an abundant amount of volunteer work for our community, such as working at the Maple Valley Food Bank for most major holidays. Personally I enjoy this work more than anything; it's a great feeling to give back. "

2009-2010 Member of the Year - Brian Antich - Action Athletics
From letters of recommendation... "Brian is a quiet man that lets his actions speak. He was the one in the the all star community that stepped up and gave the all star community what they wanted ... a state competition in a large venue with the feel and excitement of a national competition. "

2009-2010 Athletic Director of the Year - Brent Kawaguchi - Eastlake High School

2009-2010 All Star Coach of the Year - Christina Archer - NW Silver Stars
From letters of recommendation... "Christina Archer is an incredible coach who does not get near the recognition she deserves. And truly recognition is not what motivates her. She began the SilverStars 10 years ago and it is an accomplishment to see how far it has come. The program began from scratch in an old middle school gym with limited facilities and to now having its own gym with its facilities necessary to train championship teams. She has led teams to national championships and international titles, but more importantly, she has been a role model of someone who demonstrates strong faith, commitment to family, community service, athletic ability, business sense, and a friend to teens and their families all over the country."

Hall of Fame Contributor - Kiki Bittner
From letters of recommendation
... "Kiki coached and owned an all star program - Vancouver All Stars and now owns Pac West Spirit Group. She has been instrumental in the growth of cheerleading especially here in the northwest. She sits on the IEP Board of Directors, the USASF National Advisory Board, the OSIP Board of Directors and All Star Cheer Magazine Advisory Board. This year Kiki helped in the organization of the WSCCA All Star State Championship, bringing it to the level that all star coaches and teams wanted. She offered her expertise and asked for nothing in return. She has and continues to inspire! Thank you for everything!  "

2009-2010 Rec Coach of the Year - Anne Taylor - Eastside Dream Elite
Anne is the first coach in the state to have a special needs group as part of of her rec program. For the past 3 years they have performed at many competitions, including the WIAA State HS Cheerleading Championship. The positive impact that cheerleading has brought to these special young people cannot be put into words but the looks on the faces say it all!"

2009-2010 Member of the Year - Stephania Lemeshko - Skyline High School
From letters of recommendation... "Stephania does it all: WSCCA Board member for several years, WSCCA High School Director, WA State Cheer Judges Association President, state champion coach... She isn't kidding when she says she bleeds for the kids she coaches. She demonstrates that the best way to help is to roll up your sleeves and be a part of the action..."
